DESCRIPTION:
A mixture of the partial esters of sorbitol and its mono- and dianhydrides with edible oleic acid. The constituent in greatest abundance is 1,4- sorbitan monooleate, with lesser abundance of isosorbide monooleate, sorbitan dioleate and sorbitan trioleate.
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:
Amber-coloured oily viscous liquid with a slight odour

APPLICATION:
• Excellent in preparing water in oil emulsifier for neutral, mildly alkaline and acidic pH system
• Used as a softener, stabiliser or opacifiers in cosmetic, pharmaceutical cream & lotions and coupling agent for medicinal substance
• Petroleum oils as a friction modifier and rust preventer & textile and leather lubricant
• Widely used emulsifier for making Emulsion Explosives and used as co-surfactant with UNOL-7 and UNOL-8 (Polymeric Surfactant) for the packaged explosives
